Privacy

Effective date: August 4, 2026

The File Card is a G.I. Joe collection tracker and community-maintained catalog. This notice explains the information we collect and how it is used.

Information we collect

We collect account information such as your email address, display name, password hash, authentication-provider identity, and account preferences. We also store collection entries, notes, photos, catalog submissions, ratings, reports, and moderation records that you provide. Basic technical information, including IP-based rate-limit records, is used to protect the service from abuse.

How we use it

We use this information to operate your account, display the collection visibility choices you make, maintain the catalog, prevent abuse, respond to reports, and improve reliability. We do not sell personal information.

Sharing and public content

Only content you choose to make public is shown in shared collections. Approved catalog contributions may remain in the catalog even if you later remove the related item from your personal collection. Administrators and moderators can review content and reports to keep the service safe.

Service providers

Optional Google sign-in is handled by Google. Verification and password-reset messages are sent through our email delivery provider. Those providers process information needed to provide their services under their own privacy terms.

Your choices

You can edit your account profile, collection visibility, personal notes, and personal collection entries in Settings and My File Cards. You may request help with account or privacy questions at [email protected].

Changes

We may update this notice as the service changes. The effective date above will be updated when we do.
