Delete your account

To request deletion from the app or website:

1. Sign in to The File Card at thefilecard.com.
2. Go to My File Cards → Settings.
3. Scroll to “Delete account,” type DELETE to confirm, then submit.

What gets deleted

This permanently removes your account identity, collection entries, uploaded photos, reviews, reports, and account-linked rate-limit records.

What may be retained

Catalog contributions you previously had approved into the shared community catalog may remain, but without any identifying link to your account — the same way they would if another contributor had submitted them. No personal or account-identifying information is kept alongside those records after deletion.

Can’t sign in?

If you can’t sign in (for example, you’ve forgotten your password and can’t reset it, or your sign-in method is unavailable), email [email protected] from the address on your account and we will verify and process the deletion manually.
